2018 BMW M3 CS, Now in KANSAS CITY

The First-Ever 2018 BMW M3 CS is a Looker Inside and Out

The 2018 BMW M3 CS is an all-new model joining the lineup. This will mark the first time that a four-door BMW bears the CS (Competition Series) badge--a name that used to be found only on the brand's coupes. But, the newest 3 Series and M Performance cars are better than ever, and BMW is experimenting with expanding its CS treatment. Only about 1000 - 1200 of these models will be produced, to maintain exclusivity and further emphasize performance.

An Interior That's Plush but Sporty

Loaded with Alcantara microsuede material, with seat upholstery trimmed in merino leather and striking embroidery on the dashboard, the new 2018 BMW M3 CS got serious about sporty design. It's sharp to look at, but soft to touch, with a grey-and-black color scheme that looks gorgeous against sport seats and subtle red accents.

Carbon Fiber Makes the BMW M3 CS a Lightweight

Thanks to the addition of a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof and rear spoiler lip--among other exterior components--the 2018 BMW M3 CS is said to be 110 pounds lighter than the standard model. In the face of a curb weight that's more than 3,500 pounds, that may not seem like much; but performance enthusiasts will feel the difference. Every inch of the new model is intense, aggressive, and not playing around.

Improved Athleticism, Classic BMW

The 2018 BMW M3 CS comes with a standard 3.0-liter twin turbo six-cylinder engine, that--when paired with BMW's seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT)--makes 453 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. These power specs give it a top speed of 174 mph, and a 0 to 60 sprint time of just 3.7 seconds. It's redefining the sports car--and it's doing it on a BMW 3 Series. This is wild, and if you're not excited, you're just not realizing the full power potential of this gorgeous new sedan.

A Track Toy with Tech

While most reports around the 2018 BMW M3 CS revolve around its performance technology--including adaptive dampers, a smarter stability control system, and driver-select modes for varying conditions--there's plenty of fun tech inside, too. Navigation comes standard, and BMW includes a Harman/Kardon audio system for precision listening for those rare times you're not obsessed just with the noise of the engine.
